I've just received two new reviews of Shadows:

Shadows was hard to put down from the start.It draws you in and keeps you reading.An excellent novel,and an exciting rollercoaster ride. Set against an apocalyptic backdrop,Shadows is so much more than a sci-fi novel.It explores the different emotions of youth,from the obsessiveness of first love to the isolation and loneliness of feeling misunderstood.It gives a startling insight into the mind of a teenager,with plenty of twists and shocks along the way. I'll definitely be reading more of Ysabel's books.

And the second one:

This is the first book I have read by Ysabel Hunt and I have to say it is quite excellent. I was gripped right from the first page and a hard time putting it down. This book follows the story of a teenage boy as his town is cast in a "shadow". Everyone has to fight for their own survival while trying to help their families and friends. I highly suggest this book if you like anything SciFi, romantic, funny, and/ or about human existence. You won't be disappointed.

Work on Soul Mates IV is going really well. I am about halfway through the book now, which means it's progressing at about the right speed. You can read how I'm getting on at my Live Journal.

I still haven't began work on the new version of Olimpia Valley. I'm still arguing with myself over what the best course of action should be. As soon as I know I'll post up some news.

THURSDAY 28 FEBRUARY 2008

I began full-time work on Soul Mates IV this week. As always, you can read updates on how the writing is going on my Live Journal. I update that once or twice a week so there's always something new to read.

I haven't started work on the new version of Olimpia Valley yet. I need a few more weeks to let it sort itself out in my head. As soon as I get the idea sorted I'll post up some news.

THURSDAY 07 FEBRUARY 2008

I am now settled in my new home, and have the internet connection back so am able to update again.

I started work on Olimpia Valley but wasn't that keen on what I'd written. You can read more about that HERE. I am still undecided on what the future will be for the town of Olimpia Valley and all the characters who have lived there - past and present. I am throwing around a few ideas at the moment, and you can read some of them HERE.

Yesterday I wrote up a brief synopsis for Soul Mates IV but I won't be adding any information about that book on the website until I've really started work on it. I plan on beginning real work on the book early next week.

Finally, thank you to everyone who's purchased a copy of Shadows. Your support is really appreciated. I really hope you all enjoyed the book, and will tell your friends about it ;)

WEDNESDAY 02 JANUARY 2008

During the last month I haven't been able to write anything because I've been first searching for, then viewing, then choosing a house to move into. Finally, after all the excitement of Christmas, I am moving into the new house this coming weekend. This means I won't be able to update the site for another couple of weeks while I set up my new internet connection.

As soon as I'm settled I am beginning work on Olimpia Valley, Soul Mates: Concealed In Destiny, and whatever new story takes my fancy :)
